Thermal Mass Flow Technology
The S401 is a thermal mass flow meter, based on its measurement principle it’s not required to compensate the compressed air pressure and temperature. So, there is no need of any additional temperature and pressure measurements to measure the standard flow and the consumption.
Measurement of Different Gases
The S401 is well suited to be used in any other gases such as Nitrogen, CO2 and many other technical gases with the use of the thermal mass principle. Gas types can be easily switched in the sensor settings with pre-defined gas calibrations for various gases to maintain accuracy. The S401 sensor technology offers a high resolution and a high sampling rate, which results in a fast and precise measurement. The flow meter can save two calibration curves, and so the sensor can be used in two different gases without any loss of accuracy.
Optional Color Display
The optional color display is designed to show all measured values such as actual flow and total consumption. The display can be used to manage the sensor settings like pipe diameters, gas types and output settings.

Various Sensor Outputs
The S415 provides various sensor outputs, such as 4 … 20 mA, Modbus/RTU and M-Bus. With the Modbus/ RTU interface, the S415 can be easily daisy-chained to a Modbus Master device such as our SUTO S331 Data Logger by using an RS-485 splitter (A554 3310) and the M8 to M12 converter cable (A553 0161). Through this method, you can add up to 16 flow meters to a single master device, making it versatile for bigger monitoring systems.
Integrated Flow Conditioner
With a highly engineered flow conditioner, there is no additional straight inlet piping needed. The innovative mechanical design reduces the pressure loss to a minimum (<30 hPa). This guarantees highly accurate measurement in difficult pipeline designs.

S421 Thermal Mass Flow Sensor for Compressed Air and Gases (Inline-Sensor)
The SUTO S421 Inline Thermal Mass Flow Sensor provides reliable compressed air and gas flow and consumption monitoring in main and header lines with a wide measuring range. With the high resolution and sampling rate, a fast and precise measurement is achieved.
Easy Installation and Optional Display
The installation is done through a measuring section with a pre-defined diameter, with R-thread or with flange connections. The flow sensor comes calibrated on the selected measuring section. The optional color display is designed to show all measured values like flow and total consumption on the screen. The display can also be used to manage the sensor settings, like gas types, output signal settings or reference conditions.
Measurement of two gases at the same time
The thermal mass flow sensor can save two calibration curves, this means the sensor can be used in two different gases without any loss of accuracy. This would allow for example compressed air flow to be measured and have the ability to switch to measure Nitrogen by simply changing the gas type via the S4C-FS app or using the sensors display.

The S421 Thermal Mass Flow Sensor offers 4 different signal output options. It can have an isolated analog and pulse output to read out the flow and the total consumption. The Modbus/RTU and Modbus/TCP output options offers a state-of-the-art digital interface solution to connect the meter to high level controllers or software solutions. By using M-Bus as an output, the meter can be connected to existing metering networks easily.
S430 Pitot Tube Flowmeter for Wet Compressed Air (Insertion-Sensor)
The S430 Pitot Tube Flowmeter provides flow and consumption measurement in wet air or high mass flow and velocity applications. Based on the pitot tube principle, the sensor features long term-stability, wide turn-down ratio and good temperature independence. It can be used in compressed air and non-corrosive gases.

The S430 compressed air flowmeter is designed for the use in wet air, therefore it can be used directly at the compressor outlet.
